My Project

Brains in Motion: Enhancing Learning through Active Seating: Under-the-Desk Bikes for Students. We are seeking funding to provide under-the-desk bikes for our students to support their sensory and movement needs. These bikes will enhance focus, engagement, and overall well-being in our classroom, ultimately improving learning outcomes and Behavior.

Under-the-desk bikes are a versatile tool that can help address the sensory and movement needs of our students.

Research has shown that providing students with opportunities for physical activity during learning can improve attention, reduce restlessness, and support overall cognitive development and Behavior Management.

The introduction of under-the-desk bikes in the classroom will have a profound impact on our students:

1. Improved Focus: The bikes will provide an outlet for excess energy, allowing students to concentrate better during lessons.

2. Enhanced Learning: Active seating options promote better engagement, leading to increased participation and improved learning outcomes.

3. Inclusivity: These bikes will benefit all students, particularly those with sensory processing needs, and accommodate different learning styles and preferences among students.

4. Better Classroom Behavior: Some studies suggest that incorporating movement into the learning environment can lead to improved classroom behavior, as it can help students expend excess energy in a constructive way.

5. Enhanced Productivity: The increased blood flow and energy levels resulting from pedaling can lead to improved productivity. Students may find that they can complete assignments more efficiently and with better quality when using these devices.
