Help me give my students a Comparative Brains Plastomount for an opportunity to see the differences between vertebrate and invertebrate brains.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Page's classroom raised $190

My Students
We are a wonderfully diverse community, consisting of approximately 30% Asian, 30% Black/African, and 40% Latinx students whose families come from all over the world! We have over 30 languages spoken on our campus. We are a Title I school.
Our AP Psychology program has inspired numerous students to go on to study neuroscience or psychology.
Crawford is creating a diverse group of future mental healthcare professionals who will increase access for linguistically diverse communities.
My Project
During the neuroscience unit in AP Psychology, students learn how the relative size of the cortex and other brain structures translates into greater or lesser capacity for intelligence.
With this comparative brain anatomy model, students will be able to visualize the structural and size differences from a variety of organisms.
This is typically something we only get to see when neuroscience students from UCSD come to present. Since we are still not sure whether we will be able to have guests on campus, we'd like to have this resource full time. It also gives students the opportunity to spend time with it instead of just briefly passing it around.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
