My Students

Many of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, with hardworking and determined parents. Our school is located in a diverse area, with 58% of our students coming from low-income households.

Despite these challenges, my students enter our classroom eager and ready to learn, each and every day!

My students come to school to learn all they can in order to be successful and productive citizens. I am blessed to work in such a culturally diverse community, where my, and my students', dedication make a difference eachday! Their parents send them to school hoping for a brighter future, and that is what I am determined to help them achieve!

My Project

BrainPOP is an engaging web based program that allows students to learn a variety of subjects such as ELA, math, science and social studies. BrainPOP ELL helps English Language Learners grasp the complexity of the English language. These programs will be used daily to increase engagement and help me check for understanding

This product will help to engage my students in an increasingly digital world.

Instead of simply reading about a subject, the students can watch videos and view images of the content, such as going to space or ancient Egypt. For my ELL students, this program will allow me to differentiate instruction, and pinpoint the specific skills they need to work on.
