My Students

My students are a diverse group of 4th graders. They are diverse racially, ethnically, socio-economically, and in terms of their academic strengths and abilities.

My school is a progressive public school in the big city of New York.

At our school, students learn about social and emotional growth in addition to academic learning. Our school was founded on learning about, and working to attain, social justice.

There are a lot of opportunities for small group and partner work in our school, so all of the students in each class really get to know each other as learners and as people.

My Project

I have requested a subscription to BrainPOP. BrainPOP is a website that makes fun and engaging videos and activities in every subject area. We are hoping that BrainPOP videos and activities will help our students to feel more engaged in online learning.

Now that we are in the second half of the school year, it feels like new activities would be a great way to reinvigorate our studies.

This subscription to BrainPOP will give our students access to the BrainPOP website, which provides engaging videos and lessons.
