My Students

I would like for my classroom to reflect my personality. I want the students to feel like they belong there, and I want them to feel at ease in my classroom. I like to decorate my classroom for different seasons, and my students love to help with this. I want my students to want to come to school and enjoy learning.

I teach in a small middle school located in a very rural area.

Most kids in our school fall below the national poverty line. I teach self-contained special education with a small class size of eight students. All of my students are learning at a different level from the others in the classroom. I have students in wheelchairs and students with behavior issues. My students are very active in school. They like to help the faculty, and they love to keep the school clean. They are a fun bunch and deserve materials to further their education.

My Project

I teach in a self contained classroom of 6-8th graders who are all learning at lower levels than their age appropriate peers.

BrainPop Jr allows for my students to learn topics at a level at which they will understand the content being taught.

I have used this program in previous years and my students love it and the information that they are being taught. They love watching the videos and taking the quizzes.

There are so many activities that can be incorporated within the lessons, which benefit the students greatly.
