My Students

My 2nd graders come to school excited to learn. I am in an inner city school in Philadelphia. The students come from diverse backgrounds and a wide variety of learning levels and styles.

I try to meet each child where there are and go from there in my approach to teaching.

We love to work in small group and help each other to be the best we can each be!The energy in my room is contagious!! We love learning together!!

My Project

Our classroom has a new Smart Board and some new chrome books so we are excited to use them. Brain Pop is an age appropriate interactive site that will aid in teaching

non-fiction topics while keeping us all involved.

The iPad will allow students to work together on individual projects without too much assistance from the teacher, which will help to develop independent confident learners at a young age. What could be better than making our children independent as well as confident. Technology is our future, so let the kids take the lead and help us grow as educators!
