Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When teachers speak, the kids hear, "Blah, blah, blah!" but if a computer says they same thing, kids are engaged and motivated to learn.
I have 25 students in my class.
Fourteen of them are English language learners and the majority are on free or reduced price lunch. My students are from a Title I school. Many of them come from economically disadvantaged circumstances. Even though they face economic challenges, they come to school each day eager to learn new things.
My Project
I am requesting a classroom subscription to the website BrainPop. It is an interactive website that teaches different academic concepts through weekly games, videos and quizzes. The kids love this website. It come with access for 3 computers in the classroom.
This subscription will add to the academic learning in my classroom and will motivate the kids and get them excited to learn new concepts.
The visuals the videos provide are great. This is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
