Brain Fuel

Help me give my students snacks and storage containers to have for extended school days to help fuel their brain power.

My Project

My students are little sponges soaking up all that they can, and I want to provide them with the opportunity to go beyond the resources that we have.

Education goes far beyond the classroom and we want to teach "the whole child" and not leave out the importance of health, wellness, and nutrition in the process.

As we all know it plays a major role in their overall development, so we are taking the initiative to promote health and wellness like never before. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are not fortunate enough to have many of the necessary resources that will help and benefit our students in excelling. In this project, we are asking for additional snacks and water bottles to provide to our students during after-school tutoring. Students will receive snack packs on the days that they stay for tutoring. The storage containers will be used to store and keep the snacks safe.

The snacks will help provide students with a little extra brain power to make it through the extended days.
