My Project

My first-grade students are a group of incredibly kind and helpful children. Most of them come from poverty and cannot afford healthy and filling snacks. We also have a later lunchtime and when the students do not get breakfast it is a long time before they get any food in their bellies. Research has shown that children need food to help their brains learn and grow. I would like to provide a healthy snack midmorning to my students to help them focus on what they need to learn rather than focusing on their empty, hungry bellies.
