My Students

I work at an all boys public school in the heart of the city of Rochester. These young men are from all types of homes and look to us as not only teachers but mentors, a safe place, someone to give them a hug or tell them they are enough. Our students work hard and they are excited and eager to learn and succeed.

My Project

We are back to remote for a week. During this time, my boys are going to be looking for the designated food stops to provide them with lunch and dinner that their families cannot afford.

This is not unusual, many of our boys come to school just to eat and get some comfort during the day.

When they come back I hope to be able to provide them with this things like snacks and water and be that comfort that they need at these times. Please help me keep them safe and fed.
