My Students

My second-grade class is full of bright and energetic students who need a good start in the morning. My school is located in an overly populated low-income neighborhood in Chicago, where over 80% of our students live. My school provides students with a safe and loving family orientated learning environment.

My goal is to provide my students with as many resources as possible to be successful.

My hope is to provide them with a good start in the morning so that they are motivated to do well the entire school day.

My Project

Many of my students come to school without breakfast on a daily basis, by providing them with a cereal bar in the morning gives them energy and motivates them to have a productive day. Without these snacks, it is difficult for them to learn and concentrate.

Having these snacks or brain foods will boost their energy and give them a healthy start to successfully make it through the day.

My goal is to prevent fatigue, as many of my students come to school tired and sleepy in the morning.

Also, by providing them with a treat at the end of the day to take home will hopefully help them complete their homework assignment.
