This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On Wednesdays and Thursdays we have 101 minute classes (block periods). Students will generally begin to fade in their enthusiasm after about an hour. I have experimented with various activities for Brain breaks. In my experience, engaging in 10-15 minutes of physical activity restores students' energy level and refreshes their cognitive processes.
Because longer Block periods present challenges to maintaining student engagement, it is crucial to get them out of their seats and moving around for about 10 minutes to ensure the most productive work time.
By helping me to provide supplies for structured 10 minute physical activities during block periods, you will help students to elevate their learning potential while adding fun to our Science classroom!
