Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Just like our island of Kaua'i, our school is a melting pot of culture. My students come from many different backgrounds and have various strengths that all contribute to a class of passionate learners.
Teaching 1st grade assigns me the crucial responsibility of instilling a lifelong love of reading in my students.
Through DonorsChoose.org, I hope to provide my students with the tools they need in order to thrive as readers, scientists, mathematicians, writers, artists, and above all, happy and successful members of society.
My Project
First graders can't sit still all day- and they should not be expected to. GoNoodle Plus is a wonderful program with a variety of movement exercises. Within GoNoodle Plus, there are dances, workouts, yoga routines, brain exercises, and so much more. All the videos are safe, engaging, and geared towards children. When students begin to lose focus, get the wiggles, or simply need a break from academia, Go Noodle is the answer! This project will give our class a year-long subscription. GoNoodle helps to foster a happier and healthier classroom. We appreciate your help getting this wonderful subscription for our class.
