it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
School can be a daunting task. Between all the different subjects, tests, quizzes, homework, and even personal life, sometimes students need a break. This project is all about brain breaks. I am requesting coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, and games/activities to give my students productive and stimulating brain breaks.
Sometimes the best way to re-focus the mind is with a healthy, intentional, and well-structured "distraction".
As funny as it sounds, students are more likely to be productive at a difficult task when they know a break is coming. Additionally, having fun incentives improves behavior and engagement even when the task at hand may not be their favorite. Completing a game, coloring page, or an activity will not only be a fun break, it will also create a structured environment instead of a free-for-all. Returning to a challenging assignment is much easier after a nice break.
