Welcome to my first grade classroom! We love learning in first grade and my students soak up knowledge like little sponges.
My students attend school in a rural district located in Ohio.
They come in ready and excited to learn everyday. They are full of fun, energy, enthusiasm and excitement. They are excited about learning, making friends and sharing their stories. They love using technology because it empowers them and allows them the opportunity to be creative. They love learning in new and exciting ways. They love flexible seating options that allow them to get their wiggles out while focusing on work in class.
My main goal on a yearly basis is to assist every child in growing to their fullest potential. I push them to excel and meet high expectations whether that is in my classroom or out in the great, big, beautiful world.
My Project
Every Wednesday morning, teachers gather in the computer lab and open up the "Hair Salon". Students grab a book and read to us while we fix their hair. The supplies I am requesting in this project will allow us to offer more options to our student clientele when they come to the salon. For two years, we have done a lot of spikes and braids. With these new items, we would be able to do ponytails, pigtails, buns and more!
We love spending our Wednesday mornings in the salon chatting with students and fixing their hair.
