Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school eager to learn and ready to take on tasks that encourage them to grow as a student. They do not necessarily come from a background that has an unlimited supply of tools to help them learn, but they come prepared and willing to do the best with what they have got. Most of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many generation of families attend here and former students have become teachers at my school.

Despite the challenges, my school is in a close knit family community where everybody does their best to help each other out.

We continue to inspire one another because we believe that we all can be successful.

My Project

We are in dire need to keep up with the 21st century world in the classroom. We have limited amounts of technology in the classroom because there are insufficient funds to provide what we really need.

The primary grades are where good foundational skills begin.

We have robots to help us learn how to code, however, we do not have the iPads that are necessary to control them. We know that with an iPad, we can also make our own videos, take pictures of things that are happening in our classroom, and play learning games.

With only 1 iPad for 24 students, we are really limited to what we can learn with technology.
