This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items requested are to support teaching and encouraging the behaviors we want to see, while decreasing the ones that are less preferred. The Tiger Project creates a behavior skill each month, and encourages teachers to implement in their classrooms, as well as throughout the school for students. Each month a boy and girl from each grade level is chosen as the Tigers of the Month, and one class from each grade level is chosen as the Roaring class of the Month. These items will provide positive reinforcement rewards for the desired behaviors being exhibited throughout the month. The camera and film will be used to post photos of each Class winner and each Student winner on the bulletin boards designated throughout the school to share with families and teachers. The room decor will be used to create a calming space for the students to use throughout the school year during their sessions with me and during positive reward time. The cart and microwave will be used to implement positive reinforcement for students and staff. The goal for this project is to support Tate in being a proactive school regarding behaviors and using positive direction & redirection to support our students in being successful members in the school community and society.
