My Students
I am a behavioral support and Boys to Men group coordinator at a at-risk/high poverty school district. I love to help inspire and motivate my boys to do their best. I work with a group of boys that have a high absence rate or incarcerated fathers. I created this group to help our 4th and 5th grade boys become successful, young men and help them to make better decisions on their path of success.

My Project
Boys to Men group is a character building group that help boys become positive, young men. Last year, we were only able to serve 30 students, this year our numbers have doubled. Boys in 4th and 5th grade wish to be apart of this program. We review topics such as; Self-Esteem, Decision Making and Personal Values, Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Respecting Authority, Employment & Career, Conflict Resolution, Money Management , Community Engagement, College Readiness and a Nutrient Class. The boys are asked to wear dress shirts, pants and tie to attend the class. I encourage the boys to dress this way in order to build their confidence.
