Our class is a community. We have leaders, caretakers, coaches, friends, learners, etc. We do not have desks in our classroom. We sit, lay or stand wherever learning is best for us. We do not do "normal learning" by society's standards. We have fun through learning! We are always engaged in a great activity that has to do with the lesson being presented. Learning through play and exciting activities throughout the day is our main goal.
Our class is a safe and happy place.
We learn through play and exciting activities in our lessons. We take time to listen and share our thoughts and knowledge with each other. The students at my school care about their education and are eager to learn. About 90% of the students are at or below the poverty line. But you wouldn't even know it when they walk into the classroom. These young minds come in ready for the day and always say, "I am ready to become smarter than my mom, dad, sister, and brother!"
My kids are a silly bunch with bright personalities and are always ready for any challenges that are presented to them throughout the day.
The clear document storage containers will make a difference in the learning of all 6 Kindergarten classrooms by providing a sturdy and organized area for our grade level Scholastic library to be housed. Currently, we have over 1,200 books that are in open faced bins in my classroom. The buckets take up a large amount of space on our bookshelves and leaves little room for accessibility of subject related, thematic or seasonal books.
We are in need of clear document cases that can hold books of the same subject that can be readily accessible for not only the students, but also the teacher.
