Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a new school social worker at CPS and need help in creating a safe and creative space for my students of all needs to grow. I work primarily with our younger students who use sensory tools to help with improving various life skills.

Being able to have access to these sensory toys and the Little Spot plush characters and book will help my students work on keeping focus, calm during a distressing time, help with building relationships with peers during play, and help with communication.

Aside from working on these life skills in social work sessions I want my students to have fun while learning and I know that having these tools in the office will also help with the motivation. Thank you again!
