My Project
The students in my reading groups are not only diverse in their cultures and identities, but also in their reading levels. With continued phonics instruction and matching decodable texts, many of my students are ready to enter the world of chapter book reading.
Chapter books that reflect the diversity of the students sitting around our reading table are even more engaging and in turn allow for more learning!
Students can continue to work on their fluency and vocabulary acquisition, but with chapter books, they can further develop their comprehension skills.
