A typical day in our First Grade classroom consists of actively engaged students who explore and dissect learning in the classroom. My students are held up with high expectations and always show that they can go beyond what I ever imagined.
My students are First Graders who have a desire to learn to the best of their abilities.
My students are imaginative and curious with a desire to learn and soak up information. My students are from an area that is very low socioeconomically and are at a disadvantage from the beginning, due to lack of resources. I believe it is my duty as their teacher to close the gap between the advantaged and the disadvantaged. That can be done through the use of Donors Choose.
My Project
My students will use the tools requested to help them concentrate on their learning. The students will use the Bouncy Bands that will allow their feet to "fidget" while they learn. The Bouncy Bands are attached across the bottom of the desk and the students can bounce their feet while they are completing seat work and participating in listening and following directions activities.
The donation of Bouncy Bands will enhance the learning of students who would otherwise not have such resources in their classroom.
These students will become more confident in their education, because they will start to notice they are more alert and doing better with their studies, improving grades, and test scores.
