My Students
My class is filled with enthusiastic 3rd graders who come from diverse ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. We are a low-income school but, not eligible for additional Title I funding.
My students are eager to work hard and have a strong desire to succeed!
They love learning.
My students need classroom supplies and tools; such as a mobile easel, listening center, and stools for our small group table; to enhance their learning in the classroom. We need additional instructional pieces to promote student engagement and give students the ability to showcase their mastery of chosen subjects. These tools will give my students the ability to accomplish even more on a daily basis!
My Project
I have a terrific 3rd grade class filled with students who LOVE to learn. However, during the day, many of them demonstrate nervous issues, fidgeting, anxiety, and other behaviors that pull them off task while learning. This can affect their own learning as well as the learning of the students around them.
Bouncy Bands are effective tools that allow students to bounce their feet and legs to relieve anxiety, nerves, and twitchy behaviors.
Students can then focus on learning while "getting their wiggles out" and calming their bodies in a way that will not impact their learning or distract students seated near them.
I look forward to being able to acquire enough Bouncy Bands for my entire class and this project is the first step towards reaching that goal. Please help me help my students reduce their nervous behaviors and enable them to truly focus on their learning and engagement. Thank you!
