Bouncing While We Work!

My students need 6 balance balls to bounce into reading at our literacy table. The wiggles often make it hard to be ready to learn. This flexible seating option will support a better learning environment for them.

My Students

The smiling faces of my bright students are infectious. These smiles tell stories of of feeling accepted, loved, safe, and confident. My favorite smiles to see are those that result in the many “ah-ha” moments taking place each day in my classroom. My students know they can tackle any problem or learning target. They know I won’t give up on them and therefore giving up on themselves is not an option. The lively spirits and determination of my students to be their very best learners and citizens will put a smile on anyone’s face.

My Project

My students will be ready to learn with the option of having balance balls to use at our literacy table. Little bodies need to move. Providing the option of moving while learning will allow my students to put aside their wiggles and dig in to content! My students currently have chairs that are too small for their height. Increasing our seating options will make learning more comfortable for them. Physical needs must be met to reach full learning potential in students. This flexible seating option is just what my students need. Thank you for considering helping my wiggly 2nd graders learn.
