My Students

My students attend a PreK-1 school with a population in a rural town at the foothills of beautiful mountains. Many live on working farms and spend their free time helping the family. Since our community is so spread out, some don't have access to internet or even running water.

This will be my second year at this school and I want to ensure that these students have the best environment possible to establish their love of learning at such a young age.

My Project

My students need bouncy ball seats to allow them to channel their energy into movement, balance, and focus while completing their school work. These bouncy ball seats will allow my energetic students to satisfy their need for movement while improving their ability to focus! Having this option for flexible seating will increase learning time, as well as provide an outlet for such active Kindergarteners. This important movement will reduce restlessness and improving focus while seated. It will also keep them more awake and alert than sitting in a seat typically would. After all, students need to be able to move throughout the day!

Bouncy balls provide an appropriate outlet for my students to wiggle, move and balance while working on their academic pursuits in the classroom.

Finally, the bouncy ball seats will provide a fun way for my students to burn off excess energy in the class without distracting others from their work.
