Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive, thoughtful, and creative. They come to school everyday to learn and explore new worlds through the many pages of a book. Many of them are second language learners, dyslexic, and or have learning disabilities, but despite these obstacles, they never cease to amaze me.
I am grateful that I have been given the opportunity to help these little scholars grow academically.
I look forward to seeing the amazing things that they will accomplish this year, and years to come.
My Project
An uncomfortable student is an unproductive one! We are requesting bouncing balls and a cushion seat to increase productivity and collaboration.
A child's learning environment can have an impact on their achievement, therefore I would like to offer them a choice.
Children need to move/bounce around in order to keep the blood and oxygen flowing to the brain. They are not only exercising their bodies, but also their minds.
By offering my students the opportunity to choose where they are most comfortable, they will be able to be more calm, focused, and invested in their learning. They will be able to collaborate with each other easier and be able to build a sense of community.
