This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is a wonderful place for children to learn. There are 20 energetic kindergarten students who love to move around the classroom while learning. The children spend their day working in small groups, on hands-on activities as well as time at their tables working on independent activities.

Our kindergarten class is comprised of 20 five and six year old students.

The community is diverse with many students who speak more than one language. Our class is full of excitement and always on the move!

My Project

The children need to focus in order to get the most out of each lesson. We would love to get a complete set of stability balls so that all students can use them every day.

With a whole class set of stability balls, we will be able to remove the old hard chairs that the students sit in.

All children will have the opportunity to improve their core muscles, move to expel energy, and sit comfortably on their stability balls. With the ability to move a little while learning, the children will be able to sit for an increased amount of time to complete assignments.
