My Students
As a first year ELA teacher, it's my goal to provide my students with the necessary materials to enhance their academic abilities and facilitate their comprehension. I have a diverse group of students from military families that need a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. My students are faced with many challenging circumstances that pertain to military life including family-separation, transitions, and other life changing events, which ultimately has an impact on students academic performance.
My students love learning and flourish when given the opportunity to try new things.
I believe in providing them with a safe place to grow and giving them all the necessary resources to accomplish this!
My Project
My students enjoy the freedom they are given in my classroom to move around and learn in a free flowing classroom environment.
By providing my students with the balance ball seating, they will have a classroom area that will give them the freedom they need be successful- independent readers!
As a reading teacher, I believe that students need a relaxing and flexible classroom that gives them many different options for seating. I want my students to truly enjoy each and every book they read and they need comfortable and cozy places to inspire their love for reading. I know my students wouod benefit from having this alternative seating option, especially for those who have trouble focusing.
