Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have the best group of 4th-grade students. We come from a variety of backgrounds. We are a diverse Title I school. Our students have worked very hard to learn and grow and have shown tremendous growth since beginning their elementary school careers.

Every day, we work on being the best we can be whether it be distance learning or in person.

These students are future leaders, innovative business people, doctors, pilots, writers, and hopefully, lifelong learners. I love my students and want the best for them. We are focused on not only academics but also on our social and emotional skills.

I know that not every student has an ideal home life. As their teacher, it is my goal to provide them with the best learning environment possible. I want my students to feel loved, safe, valued, and inspired. My hope is that their experience in our classroom is a positive, memorable one.

My Project

We are so excited to return to school for some in-person learning time. However, with new restrictions and rules in place students are not allowed to walk around the classroom, teachers can not give movement breaks. To help our students focus we want to give them an option for seating.

We need exercise balls to sit on so we can bounce while we sit.

If students can bounce in their seats, they will be able to release some of the energy they have from staying put all day. Bouncing in their socially distant seats is perfectly acceptable.
