Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school everyday excited to be in a safe learning environment! They are mostly of Hispanic heritage and live in one of the poorest districts in the country. All of my students receive free lunch and look forward to coming to school for a healthy warm meal. Despite the challenges they face they are so bright, happy, and eager to learn! They love reading, and being read to, and they bring those experiences home to their families. They deserve a great educational experience!

My Project

My students would love to have these bouncy chairs to sit on to do their work instead of our current tall stiff chairs. Giving students a choice to decide where and how they want to sit will give them accountability and leadership skills.

My students need to move and be able to make choices for themselves about which way is best to sit to get their work done.

These chairs give them a new opportunity to be comfortable, and get their wiggles out, all while still working. This will also help them be able to make an important choice for themselves. You would be giving them a great way to choose what is best for their educational experience!
