Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students would love to reclassify from their ELD class; however, with low skills, intrinsic motivation, scholarly traits (work habits), cooperation, SEI, parental involvement + they would benefit from being able to have an array of reading material that is both current and classical. My students need support in strengthening their listening, communication, verbal, writing, and reading skills. My students comprise of many cultures ranging from nationalities of Hispanic descent, Armenian, Russian, Filipino, and Asian.
Many of my students struggle to find purpose and develop their intrinsic motivation and mindset.
Others flourish with curiosity, vocabulary, and articulation of ideas. They each bring their individual personality to the class--some need love and nurture to teach appropriate behavior AND other's are gems that shine!
My Project
My students (LTELS) are reading below grade level and have skills within the same realm. Many give in to their compulsion, lacking self-constraint to help them develop their skills, and meet their goals.
I had an opportunity to use these during a PD and they helped me focus after a long tiring day.
They will be installed per chair in my class in the hope students will be affected to help themselves release any impulse to distract themselves and/or disrupt the class. I'm hoping my students will using the bouncy devices to help them refocus and reengage to help them be more successful!
