My students are full of energy, curiosity, and joy. They work hard in the classroom and bring enthusiasm to every part of their day. One of the things I love most is how much they care about each other—they thrive when they have time to build friendships and grow through play. As their teacher, I see the importance of not just academic learning, but also the social and emotional development that happens outside the classroom.
Recess is a crucial time in a child’s day.
It’s more than just a break—it’s when kids recharge, release frustrations, and develop important skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. For my upcoming second-grade class in the 2024–2025 school year, having access to quality recess equipment like soccer balls, playground balls, and a sturdy ball bag will make a big difference.
Unfortunately, in the past, we’ve lost some of our recess balls due to normal wear and tear (and the occasional enthusiastic kick!). As a result, I don’t have enough equipment to begin the new school year. With your support, I can ensure my students start the year with everything they need to play, laugh, and grow with their classmates.
These balls will be used every day by every student, encouraging physical activity, creative games, and positive social interaction. Your donation will help give them the tools they need to bounce, play, and run with friends—all while building a strong and supportive classroom community.
