My Project

Please help our students prepare for their day by shaking out their sillies and putting their large muscles to work. These multi-step obstacle courses will provide great proprioceptive input and an amazing opportunity for motor planning. Our students will also work on their balance and body awareness. Many of our youngest learners, especially those in our special autism classes have difficulty conceptualizing movement patterns and how to coordinate their bodies. These obstacle course items, including stepping stones and bucket stilts, help them learn these skills and it’s fun! Our students love and need movement. This project provides a safe space for them to practice their motor skills and regulate their bodies.
