Bottle Buddies!

Help me give my students markers, hot glue guns, poster board, and other supplies to create models of their favorite historical figures.

My Project

Please consider donating to our third grade "Bottle Buddies" project! Many elementary school students have limited exposure to historical figures and the genre of nonfiction. This project allows students to explore their favorite historical figures by conducting research and completing a "Bottle Buddy" project. These art items will be used to help students create their "Bottle Buddies" to look like their historical figures. Students will use the books to research their historical figures, write a brief report on them, create their figures, and present their projects.

Nonfiction is difficult for students of all ages, so this project allows students to show what they have learned about their favorite historical figures in a creative way.

The goals of this project are for students to explore their interests in historical figures, build confidence in their ability to read nonfiction texts, and creatively express themselves in their projects and presentations.

We would love to give each student the opportunity to highlight their hard work during this project by allowing them to share their projects with the entire school. We would also like to recognize their accomplishments by giving each student a medal. We have 75 students in third grade.
