My students need to experience technology through basic coding activities. If I can expose them to Botley coding activities, they can learn basic coding in a fun, exciting way. They can be challenged in today's fashion.
I am excited to have 10 students this year. My students are kindergarten and first graders that have been diagnosed with special needs. They work best in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce skills.
My students need to learn to function in today's technological world.
I need to give them hands-on activities that challenge them in fun ways. Through fun coding activities, my students can learn to be productive in today's society.
Today, children need to work with technology to be successful in school and their community. I would like to give my students a basic introduction to coding and technology through engaging activities. Through fun robots that the children interact with these skills can be taught.
My Project
I would like to use these materials to help introduce my students to basic coding and STEM activities. I would like to obtain Botleys and activity sets. By using the accessory kits, the students will be able to explore and build through a variety of activities. I would like to have these materials to expose my IEP students to basic coding in a fun, interactive way. The students could then have access to little robots that will help them with STEM activities. They will be exposed to challenges at their level, so they can learn technology skills at a beginning level. This beginning exposure can help these young students begin exploring and navigating the challenges they will encounter in today's world. This will get the children's feet wet in basic coding. I would like to assist my students by exposing them at a young age so that they are excited about technology. They will then realize they can do things on their own with guided practice.
