My Project

The world of coding and robotics isn’t just for older students—it’s an exciting and vital area of learning for young children too! With Botley Robots, I want to give my PreK-2nd grade library students a hands-on, engaging introduction to coding, problem-solving, and critical thinking in a way that’s fun, interactive, and perfect for their age group.

I am requesting Botley 2.0 Coding Robots classroom bundle to bring early coding and robotics into my classroom.

Botley Robots are specifically designed for young learners, requiring no screens, which means my students can focus entirely on logic, sequencing, and problem-solving skills. With Botley, students will learn coding through hands-on play by programming the robot to navigate obstacle courses, follow sequences, and complete challenges. These robots will help my students develop spatial awareness, logical thinking, and collaboration, all while fostering creativity. These resources are especially impactful because they meet my students at their developmental level and provide a fun, screen-free introduction to the world of STEM.

My students are a diverse group of curious, energetic learners who are full of potential. Many of them come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with limited access to technology and STEM resources outside of school. Despite these challenges, they show up every day eager to learn, explore, and create. What makes my students truly special is their incredible enthusiasm for hands-on learning. They thrive when they are able to actively engage with materials and collaborate with their peers.

I want to give them the tools to dream big, think creatively, and build the confidence to pursue their interests in STEM fields. With your generous donations, we can open up new possibilities for my students, inspiring them to see the power and fun of coding and robotics from a young age.
