Project-based learning helps students solve highly complex problems requires that students have both fundamental skills (reading, writing, and math) and 21st century skills (teamwork, problem solving, research gathering, time management, information synthesizing, utilizing high tech tools). With this combination of skills, students become directors and managers of their learning process, guided and mentored by a skilled teacher.
Real-life context and technology used in PBL approach, students become independent workers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.
Teachers, administrators, and other educators exchange ideas and talk with subject-area experts, and communicate with parents, to break down invisible barriers.
Students will be using the items listed to integrate into their PBL lessons they design. Many students will be working on STEM projects in the Academy. The supplies listed create a Maker Space of learning through hands-on materials and application of real life situations.
PBL is not just a way of learning; it's a way of working together. Students learn to take responsibility for their own learning, they form the basis for the way they work with others in their adult lives.
My Project
Botley coding robot and action challenge accessory pack will help students in a project-based learning environment create lessons for grade school students. These lessons will help students learn the basics of coding while having fun. Students creating the lessons will help younger students through collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity.
The Botley coding robots inspire children to learn through play!
With an emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) both the older students and the younger students work collaboratively helping each other learn basic code writing.
"Some educators and experts are calling it the ‘new literacy’—a subject so important that every child needs to know the basics to excel in our rapidly changing world." Both age groups will have a chance of self-directed learning and guided learning. Each kit will provide different lesson opportunities to reach more students at once.
With your help, our students will learn the basics of coding in fun, interactive way that promotes creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking. Student led projects build entrepreneurs of the future.
