BOS Financial Lit

My Students

Students in my classroom learn about a variety of subjects ranging from how to use computers for careers to how to prepare for retirement. The classes I teach fulfill graduation requirements, but I think that more importantly, I prepare them for the rest of their lives.

In Financial Literacy I help them discover what they can do to avoid a lot of the financial pitfalls that so many Americans don't.

I think COVID-19 has put more strain on students to help provide for their families and with so many places hiring, students have more earning potential than in the past. I hope that by coming through my classroom students are better prepared for the post-pandemic world.

My Project

The headphones will allow students to make up work at their own pace, allowing them to get targeted instruction for their needs. The students also will have more opportunities to learn experientially. These experiential activities will push them to interact with one another and re-establish connections within their school community.

All the office supplies I have chosen are targeted towards meeting students where they are at and providing them opportunities to grow.

In my class, I strive to give everyone room to grow, regardless of where they enter, and that is what I believe these supplies do.
