Boring Walls to Positive Halls

My students need motivational decals, thin Expo Markers, pencils, and colored paper for class projects. These items will help to promote a positive atmosphere and class community.

My Students

My students are full of school pride and community with over 96 clubs or activities running through out the school. Being an urban school district means larger class sizes but that doesn't stop my students from project based and community learning. My classroom thrives in learning through 21st century skills both social and technological. We bring mathematical concepts into their every day lives and use popular apps like snapchat to demonstrate where and how they are applied.

My classroom, however, does not reflect the school spirt my students display.

My Project

By having motivational decals it will help my classroom feel homey and positive promoting school pride while bring students closure as a tiger nation. My classroom has no windows, and I currently have no posters or decals that I can put up in my room. This makes it feel very closed off.

By getting these decals my room, it will create a more collective and welcoming environment.

The colored paper is to help my students create a class community being color coded. Each class is assigned a color, and that color is then used for their projects or interactive worksheets. By color coded different class blocks, unity is made within each class.

The Expo Markers are for the students community whiteboard. Students respond to a prompt written at the top of the board allowing them to express themselves in an appropriate manner inside of vandalizing desks or other classroom furniture.
