My Project
I am always looking for ways to keep my students occupied and entertained when they are with me in the library. Sometimes students find it difficult to read in the library because there are so many distractions, so I like to give them options. I find it is easier to manage behaviors if their minds are occupied.
This organizer will allow me to display "Boredom Busters" activity sheets in a forward-facing manner so that students can easily see which one they want to work with.
Boredom Busters include of "How to Draw" Sheets, Word Finds, Logic Puzzles, etc.
In addition to the organizer, we are needing to replace some of our Activity Kit supplies--specifically the binoculars and magnifying glasses that go with our Exploration Activity Kits. These are primarily Environmental Science Kits that encourage the students to explore the natural world around them--birds, trees, wildflowers, etc...Students seem to be very hard on these items, which is a mixed blessing. I know they are using them, which is fantastic, but sometimes they are returned broken and sometimes they aren't returned at all which has been the case several times this year when students abruptly moved.
