Bored of the Same Ol' Board Games

My Students

This year, I am teaching second grade full time after teaching second grade for the first time last year virtually. I have students who come in with a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses while trying to play catch-up from lost time during COVID-19.

My Project

During winter time it can get extremely cold here in West Virginia. Once it drops below the allowed recess temperature we must spend our time inside. This means that at times we won't be able to go to recess for a week or more.

The class that I have this year loves to play board games.

While I do have some board games in my supply closet, my students are getting bored of playing the same few games over and over again. If we could add a larger variety of games to our collection my students would stay engaged during indoor recess.
