Bopping with Bee Bots

My students need a Bee Bot, charging station and activity mats to add to our Makerspace to learn about coding.

My Students

I have a wonderful group and active first graders. I have a wide range of students, from strong readers and critical thinkers, to English language learners and students with special needs. The one thing that they all have in common, is they want to learn, participate and be successful.

My students enjoy learning, working together and being a 1st grader.

They want to be successful and grow and we thank you for your consideration and your donations in helping them do so.

My Project

My students will use the Bee Bot and additional materials to learn, study and implement coding skills. Bee Bots are a perfect introduction to coding for young learners. The items from the project will be added to our school’s Makerspace for my students to access as well as all other students at our site! The mats will not only be used for teaching coding, but they can be used to teach anything from math facts or science facts to phonics skills by inserting cards into the mats. In addition to gaining coding skills, students will be provided with the opportunity to work on cooperative skills, problem solving and critical thinking when using the Bee Bots.
