My Students

"You are the owner of your learning." This is the quote my students focus on everyday making sure they are always giving a 100% to their reading.

My students come from a small rural, tight knit community in Michigan.

They are a fun group that loves to learn. They take charge of their learning and stretch themselves each and every day. They always give 100% everyday as they read. They use their books as a chance to travel and experience the world.

My Project

We have an active classroom that does not like to stay seated. We are always moving and learning no matter where we are in our room. The mobile chart board will free us from having to have group time only in front of our board. The more we are able to get up and move, the more they are able to learn. The 6 whisper phones will allow them to read out loud without disturbing others. This can really help them master comprehension.

My classroom is in a brand new room with limited supplies.

I have worked on building our classroom library, but I don't have a lot of bins to keep our books in at this time. I would like to be able to teach them any where in the room, to help keep them moving.
