Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a J1 teacher from the Philippines currently in my third year of teaching at BCES, a Title I school. While I have grown tremendously over these years, I believe I still need to further hone my skills in speaking, writing, and grammar to become a more effective educator. As English is not my first language, I have worked hard to develop my proficiency through textbooks, worksheets, and formal schooling, but I recognize that ongoing improvement is essential, both for my own growth and for the benefit of my students.
The reMarkable Pro tablet would allow me to take notes, annotate readings, and organize my daily tasks and lesson plans with greater efficiency — something I already do consistently by hand because I believe in the power of reflection and preparation.
Meanwhile, the IELTS book would help me strengthen my English language abilities and prepare for certification that will enhance my professional credibility.
My ultimate goal is not only to better myself but to better serve my students, many of whom face their own educational challenges. With your support, I will be equipped with the tools I need to improve my teaching practice and make a greater impact in the classroom.
