Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are second language learners in Fullerton, California. They are eager learners with a passion for education. My students come from low-income families, and often lack the tools needed to take their learning to the next level.

They are mostly of families in which they will be the first student to go to college.

I am a Student Success Mentor. This position allows me to create unique bonds with low achieving and motivated students and support them into being their best selves. My students and I get excited about learning new medias that can put them in the right place to move on to high school.

My Project

Coming back from Distance Learning, my staff and students need a boost in morale. My school site's community supports each other through both inspirational successes and personal struggles. Being an SEL coordinator at my site, I am tasked with keeping the SocioEmotional health of all members high.

When teachers and students feel appreciated, successful, supported, and valued, the whole school improves.

By having a Cricut on hand, I would be able to make personal stickers, motivating memos quickly and on a small budget. It can also apply to student supports and recognitions! Small examples of how we can make each other's day a little brighter with the help of this machine!
