Boosting Flight Time: Batteries, Chargers & Cases for Our Drones

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, drones aren't just toys—they're powerful tools for teaching engineering, coding, physics, and problem-solving. My students use drones to learn how flight works, understand real-world applications of technology, and explore potential STEM careers. However, our current drone kits are limited by short battery life and a lack of protective storage. This project will equip us with extra batteries and multi-port chargers to increase flying time, plus sturdy carrying cases to keep our gear safe and organized.
With these resources, my students can spend more time learning and less time waiting for batteries to charge or fixing damaged equipment.
We’re requesting high-capacity Belkin and GaN USB-C chargers to charge multiple devices quickly and safely—reducing downtime between flights. Extra DJI Flip and DJI Neo intelligent flight batteries will allow students to fly longer during class. With the DJI charging hubs, students can charge multiple batteries in parallel and track charging progress. The FPVtosky hard cases for both the DJI Flip and Neo drones will protect our gear in transit and during storage, extending the life of these valuable tools.
To enhance our understanding of electrical systems and device diagnostics, we’re also adding USB testers and power meters. These tools will help students monitor voltage, current, and overall battery health—making connections to electronics, circuits, and real-world troubleshooting.
Altogether, these items will make our drone operations smoother and more efficient, giving students more opportunities to engage in hands-on, future-ready learning.
