Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredible, resilient young people who balance school while working 20-40 hours a week. Most of them are Multilingual Learners, navigating the challenges of mastering Algebra 1 while also learning English. Many don’t have parents to support them and are determined to create better futures for themselves.
With the SOL exam approaching, they are working tirelessly to succeed.
However, maintaining motivation can be tough. I’m hoping to provide a cart, snacks, candy, and fun sticker prizes as incentives to celebrate their hard work but also to ensure they have the energy they need to focus and excel. For many, these small rewards will offer a moment of comfort, encouragement, and joy during a long day of studying and working.
In addition, I’m preparing for the next school year, and having these resources will continue to support and motivate my students as they tackle new challenges. Your support will make a significant difference by encouraging my students to stay engaged, motivated, and confident. Every contribution helps show them that their efforts are seen and valued.
