Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with students that have special needs; they require additional supports/accommodations in order to achieve academically. My students are funny, creative, animated, and kind. I feel fortunate to work with these kiddos that are also resilient and compassionate!
During these times of distance learning, my students (and parents) have had to make significant adjustments in order to learn from home.
It has not been an easy feat, but my students are resilient and are adjusting to the new normal. With support from teachers and administrators, students and parents are learning to navigate the learning platforms from home.
My Project
As the learning curve of teaching from home continues, I believe we need to make adjustments as needed in order to enhance instruction. Therefore, using Airpods will allow me to do just that by eliminating background noise. Using better sound equipment, Zoom, and other District online learning platforms, will provide a better experience for the students when teaching topics like reading, writing, math, and social-emotional learning.
Further, using AirPods will boost up the clarity of sound during class instruction, resulting in a higher quality of communication.
My students can use any leverage they can get when continuing to learn from home. Thus, following along with class instruction that is loud and clear, from both directions, will give them an advantage they can use.
