This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students struggle with confidence in communicating, reading, and writing when it comes to story-telling skills. These Osmo kits will help them gain confidence in their skills in literacy. This Osmo kit will enhance our students' literacy with interactive storytelling and illustrating. Each item they draw for Mo will be magically pulled into his world. The students will create animated adventures to share with family, friends, and other students. These Osmo materials will allow our class to have access to more hands-on and interactive learning materials that are engaging for students.

We will partner with younger students in Kinder and Transitional Kinder as literacy leaders by reading their stories that they created on the Osmo.

They will be literacy leaders by promoting the love of reading and story-telling in the younger grades. The sticker paper and other supplies will be used to create magnetic bookmarks and stickers to promote a love for literacy in our younger classrooms. The kids will design their own bookmarks with illustrations of their characters from the Osmo games to give to the Kinders to encourage them to read. They will also make stickers for promoting literacy goals. These resources will build creativity, community, and leadership through creative storytelling and bookmark/sticker making.
