This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
COVID-19 has impacted the students' organization skills and sense of classroom procedures. The mailboxes and supply organizers will help the students practice class procedures by giving them a designated space to get their supplies at the start of class as well as an area to put back their supplies before they leave.
The thermal laminator will also allow students to preserve student-created anchor charts on mathematical topics they are learning so they can add to building a positive classroom culture.
Allowing students to be involved and create tools they can use, like anchor charts, can also help build their sense of self-worth and pride.
